Why do babies make everyone happy?

I just came home from visiting my grandmother in the hospital, as I have been all week. I have to bring my baby girl with me to visit because my grandmother adores her, and she has to come along with me. I put her in the baby Bjorn carrier because she loves to look at everyone and everything. It is amazing, and it has been this way since I had her, everyone smiles when they see her face. It is like seeing a baby makes everyone happy. I think it is the most amazing thing because everyone will glance and smile or comment on her. I think the babies bring people happiness because of their innocence and happiness. It is so simple to make a baby smile, it occurs sometimes when you just simple look at them. I have been thinking about what it is exactly that causes people to have this reaction, I think it is the beauty of life. Everyone has so many worries and stresses in their lives, and we are all so busy going through our day to day. Sometimes we forget to look at the beautiful trees in the fall and simply take a moment to thank God for their beauty. In this specific story, I had my baby in a hospital around many elderly patients and upset families. It seems to me, that a baby's smile reminds everyone that life is beautiful, despite the tragedies and anxieties. It is hope that life continues on and is still beautiful. My grandmother has lost most of her mind and she continues to get worse, however one thing is for sure, her entire face lights up with happiness when she sees her great granddaughter. It is beautiful.
