I should first start off by saying I rarely have enough time to dedicate to reading, although I love it. I decided last night to crack open my new library book nice and early, and I literally read the whole thing. The book is called, "A Stolen Life" by Jaycee Dugard, and it an experience. As I read through the horrors this girl went through for 18 years after being kidnapped, there were times I had to sit the book down for a minute. The reason I enjoyed her book is because she prefaces the book by saying that she is a survivor and will go on now to enjoy every minute of her life. Her amazing strength, courage and hope were the only things that kept her going through each day. I was blown away by the amount of courage it took her to write a book and share her story, and to also express that her story is to inspire strength. It is very detailed about her sexual abuse in the beginning, and her story is sad and hard to read. However I recommend this book to everyone because her courage and strength are untouchable and it hits you deeply. Check it out, and if you wan to know more about her story click here
