Well in lieu of being laid off again, and being home more often, I am enjoying being a stay at home mom again. It is strange to go back to finding creative ways to keep my daughter and I busy, which can some days be difficult. I decided to enroll my daughter again in swim classes, since they were such a hit last year. However, now she is older which either will be ten times better, or may be a little scarier. It will make at least one Saturday morning a week a fun mommy and Irelyn time, which I must say I enjoy also. I feel like the Scrooge of winter though, since it means cold, and snow on the ground which equals many days stuck inside of off the playground. This is the time of the year I say to myself, " Why did I move back north and leave my beautiful beach?". I was pleasantly surprised when I took my daughter to see her first movie Tangled, and she sat through the whole movie. Of course I brought back up (Milk, and snacks, plus the rocking movie chair was a huge plus). I enjoyed the movie much more than I thought, which really showed me how fun it is to have a little girl and get to relive princess movies and all the perks of childhood that I had forgotten. On the flip side, I am thankful to have my parents so close because they make Irelyn and our mundane days more full. I love watching her love them and vs verse. So if anyone has some creative ways to beat the winter imprisonment, let me know! :)
oh no! sorry to hear about your status, what happened with your job? it had sounded like it was going great!
ReplyDelete...and just because it is cold doesn't mean you can't go out to the playground and play! It doesn't stop my kiddos!! Even snow doesn't stop them!! hehehe
