As Irelyn has hit the big 1, things have been changing for no apparent reason. She has always gone to bed awake and fell asleep no problem. Recently we have had to redo our Baby Wise approach to bedtime where I let her cry. Thankfully it has worked out well and she is back to her normal self. However since we started eating all solid foods she has vetoed vegetables and only wants fruit. My doctor suggested we just roll with it and continue to offer them to her and when she is hungry enough she will eat them. Last night she had handfuls of peas, so I was very happy! We also started vitamins and some V8 Fusion to supplement lost nutrients from being a picky eater. She is a champion crawler and pulls up on everything, and is learning to move those feet slowly but surely (notice I am in no rush for her to walk, lol).
I was very nervous about going back to work full time because she was changing her ways and becoming very clingy to mommy. However, to my surprise she has adjusted beautifully. My parents are saints, because they watch her three days a week and my father comes and gets her and drops her off. I could not be blessed with a better family. My in laws are also very helpful when it comes to babysitting. I am really enjoying my new career and the new challenges and enjoyment it is bringing to my life. My quote of inspiration at the moment is:

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do." -Eleanor Roosevelt
