I haven't written on my blog recently, but my baby girl is 10 months old, and almost at 1! I feel like time has flown and I am nostalgic to see her grow up. The day she came into my life was the happiest moment of my life, so her birthday is a big deal for me. It is amazing how much she has grown and changed over a year, and how she has developed such a sweet disposition and amazing personality. She is most definitely my child ;). Unfortunately she has not crawled yet, but loves to stand with assistance. I am sure everything will come on her time when she is ready, but as a mom I naturally an anxious for her to do it. I honestly have the best baby in the world, and I am truly blessed. I think the main thing I have realized is the trick of being a mom is the art of distraction, ha ha! Whenever we are eating, upset or out and about running errands. Distraction is the key to keeping yourself and the baby happy.
The funny things I have learned, as I sit here and ponder are:
-Poop is not a big deal, it gets on them and you and it happens everywhere-stores, church, car, everywhere when you least expect it.
-Distraction is the key to sanity
-Simply things are funny and you can buy an expensive toy but they are happier with a small box filled with pasta to make noise
-Fresh air is your best friend for a good night's sleep for your little one
-Bows in the hair, and shoes are going to come off whether you like it or not
-Multitasking becomes an art form you master
On a totally new note, I am pondering starting a new blog which won't necessarily be about my daughter but that would appeal to mom's. I would appreciate any thoughts or ideas.
