Friendship

"A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked” I think sometimes in this world, you acquire friendships that are unexplainable to everyone. I truly believe you can see inside someone, when other's cannot, and you can see the potential they have flickering inside them. I have a friend, whom I have watched struggle with a troubled past which has paved the way for a difficult life. She has not made the best decisions and we have had our ups and downs throughout our friendship. When I watched her wither away from drug addiction, I felt hopeless because I knew after many attempts, that I could do nothing to help her. Instead I went on with my life and had a baby, and my world changed. I had little contact with my friend, and when I did I was always saddened by the directions she was taking in her life. I only could lend an ear and shoulder for her to cry on and be someone she could talk to. I have many commentators about my friendship with her, and I ignore them all. Sometimes God puts people in your life for a reason, to be a friend to someone, to be a shoulder to cry on or just simply to be there for them. I think that is what God wants in this world, and every decision is not always the correct one, but we live and learn.

I believe people make poor decisions at different points in their life as we all do. How to you decide which one to forgive or which one to work on and move forward? or do you abandon them? There is no right answer I am finding, except to trust your heart. Not everyone will agree with you or understand you, but if they truly love you, they will trust your decision whether it turns out to be right or wrong.
