In lieu of the beautiful weather we had the past two days, it was wonderful to take my daughter to run around the park. However yesterday she encountered a little boy older than her than was not being too nice. He would follow her and shove her down to the ground numerous times. I looked to see if his mother was around or watching, and was unable to located her. Thankfully she would just pop up after the surprise and move along again. Since this is the first time I have encountered the playground "bully" for lack of better words. I found myself questioning how to handle the situation. I found myself saying, "Okay let's be nice now", but it annoyed me that this boy was literally following my daughter around to shove her down. The park was absolutely packed with kids running around everywhere at all ages. I am definitely not one of those mothers that nit picks at everything, but seriously? On the positive side, my daughter's little boy play friends are teaching her to get tough, so maybe next time we encounter that boy she can knock him down :)
