We love our children so much that we take everything that comes along with them....even if it includes our own sanity! ha ha! I sometimes look at my darling little angel and think, who is this child?! The toddler years are life changing and every mom has to find her own individual way to guard her sanity (whether its a night out, a glass of wine or two, or simply waiting anxiously for bedtime). I think the main word in my vocabulary on a daily basis is "no". The other phrases are; " Mommy said no!", " You be a good girl", and " Oh my goodness!". I can communicate with her, and sometimes I understand what she is communicating back, but being 19 months, its not quite finely tuned. Some days are wonderful and some a headache, but completely worth it. I just have some days where I feel drained from being mommy. The kicker to all of this is that my daughter is me :) God help us. Okay, now to continue my venting, I have my top ten toddler moments I experience often (in no order):
10. Melt downs in the grocery store, restaurant, etc...because she cannot run free.
9. Refusing to eat foods, but really refusing to eat even the foods she likes by throwing them.
8. Kicking me like crazy when diaper changing
7. Tantrums.....need I say more?
6. Getting into everything and anything despite "No"
5. I give her an inch to walk around and she runs the mile...I find myself sprinting in the store
4. Attention at all times, no exceptions
3. Constantly hearing crying and "Mama!" when I leave the room
2. Playing in the toilet water
1. The most adorable dance moves and kisses
