Interactive Pillow for Car-Craft for your Baby

I am always reading these amazingly creative blogs with all these cute kids crafts. I decided to think up something I could use that I have never seen...so I did. I am always trying to keep my daughter happy in her rear facing car seat. However, anything that hangs on the headrest she is unable to reach or grab. So I decided to make a fun activity pillow for my daughter. I decided to go with a pillow because I am able to make it as thick or thin so she is able to reach, and it would be soft. It was a fun project and it tested my craft abilities since I never sewed anything before and basically sewed everything on this! Anyway here is my step by step new creation! Let me know what you think....
First I got a pillow from Michael's
Then picked out small fabric swatches sold at craft stores in different fun colors.

I cut patterns and then folded the edges and ironed them down with a little starch

Then I pinned down all the pieces in different orders, and began to sew it to the pillow.

I then sewed on pieces of ribbon to hold rings, streamers of ribbon, etc. I got the hand puppet for a $1
With three others from the craft store, and the alligator for $.50 at Ikea (which has Velcro attached to it)

I cut holes and attached ribbon with Velcro to attach to the car head rest.
