Bars and Clubs to Playgrounds
"Pre-Baby" many people would go out to a club or bar to meet new people and have a good time. Maybe dance, have a drink or two, and mingle with everyone. Now after having a baby, I have realized that instead of meeting other women my age out and about on the town, I go to the park. You can go to the park and enjoy the weather and sit with your fellow comrade mothers and talk about your kids, stresses, the long night you had with your baby, etc. It is actual adult time while being with your baby, which is such a nice treat. I find it kind of humorous how life changes as our lives grow and change. I actually look forward to a pretty day in the park because I meet new moms and get to talk to other adults while watching my daughter enjoy watching the other kids and swinging. Plus if your baby throws a tantrum or someone elses's child, no one is judging. If anything they are there to lend a helping hand. If you drop something or need something handed to you, a mom is right there to lend a helping hand because they understand. It is a whole new step in life, which creates a new companionship and understanding. If I feel the urge to dance, I put on some fun music and dance with my favorite dance partner who always wears a smile...my baby :) As for the drinks, well every good mother knows when she needs a glass of wine.
