It seems like not too long ago my baby was brand new and I was in a total panic being a new parent. Now, 7 months later, life has changed a lot. It is just amazing how fast babies grow, and how much they learn in their first year. So what has changed you ask?
-I no longer have to get up every four hours for feedings....she sleeps through the night now
-We said goodbye to Acid Reflux...which need I remind you made our lives miserable for a period of time
-No more unlimited naps....which I miss a lot. Irelyn is super active, and has to be worn out
-I believe we will always be poor due to the crazy amount of babies clothes we have gone through, I believe I have 5 boxes! (however having a little girl it is very hard not to buy all those cute clothes)
-She is eating less formula, which means we save money! (since she is on Nutramgen)
-She is such a good baby in the car now...which she was not in the beginning
The NEW things....
-Teeth...yes, now when she goes to chew on my hand I almost scream in pain. On that note, teething is no fun.
-Solid foods= Mess, Stinky Diapers, and reasoning with an infant
-Laughing, making noises and trying to talk, rolling all over, sitting up
-DVD's are a blessing when you need 30 min to yourself, Thank you Baby Einstein and Elmo.
(on the down side, I hear Elmo's songs in my sleep)
-My back is killing me! I already want to get a normal baby car seat, she is too heavy to carry (even though she is probably 17 pounds)
-Separation Anxiety...we always want mommy
-Learning white clothes are not a good choice
I am realizing just when you think you have it down, things change constantly! It is an amazing journey more good days than bad. I am looking forward to summer and being able to spend more time outside....I feel like I am confined to the indoors which is no fun.
