Well I can proudly say Irelyn is finally holding up her head and advancing everyday! She now sits in her bumbo to watch DVDs (Elmo, Backyardigans, and Baby Einstein are her favs). She also has an exerciser which she is beginning to really like. It is amazing how fast four months has gone! She still isn't sleeping through the night, but we have her on about an 8pm bedtime, 12am feeding (which we wake her up for) and then she sleeps till 6 or 7am. She is talking up a storm (just like her mommy), and she is such a happy baby! She only fusses when she is hungry or tired now. Thanks to the Prevacid, we have no more reflux issues, and I am trying to slowly switch her to soy formula. We shall see how that goes, since she has been on Nutramigen (which we nick name liquid gold since it is so expensive!). She is also beginning to embark on teething, which consists of her basically chewing everything in sight. It is just so amazing to look back at her newborn pictures and see how far she has come in four months. I am so excited for the holidays this year, basically because now we have a little one to share them with. However, I am also happy cause I feel great and I am not pregnant! I missed out on all the good food last year!
I just adore every moment with her, and she has truly changed my entire life. She has made me realize how beautiful life can be, despite all of the stresses and chaos. My parents are absolutely in love with her and she adores them also. It is so special for them both to watch her grow, and be apart of her daily life. It is so special as a new mom to share this entire experience with my mother. It makes you respect your own mother so much more when you actually become a mother. I cannot wait for the months to come, and I am so blessed that God gave me this beautiful little girl.
